Extend your hands to help kids with their schooling!!!

We put our heads together and decided to do something involving charity. A few members proposed helping out an orphanage that was really in need for help regarding the children's education.

Some of our members brought out a list of orphanages and shortlisted the ones that were really in need of financial help. These shortlisted orphanages were visited and it was decided that the school-going children of KING'S KIDS ORPHANAGE located at ONDIPUDHUR in COIMBATORE will be funded by TYKA.

On visiting the said orphanage, the members realized that over 45 students were studying in schools (Std. 6 to Std. 12) out of the total 65 students were finding it difficult to manage paying the school fee, says the care-taker Hence, it was decided by the members of TYKA to join hands, collect funds and help these students with their schooling.

The approximate school fee for a single student per term comes to around Rs.500. All the students are studying in Government Schools around Ondipudhur. TYKA has planned to donate the required sum to ensure that the fee for the first term is paid.

TYKA IS BACK !

Tyka has donated a fully functional computer to the orphanage "Kings and Kids" . The whole system was worth Rs.3000 as some of the accessories were donated by the members themselves. We thank Vinod A. and Kumaraguru S. from the bottom of our heart.

TYKA also donated Rs 1000 to a boy who recently lost his father... I request all of you to be regular in your monthly deposit so that we can plan regarding future prospects.

On 30th of May , a TYKA meeting was held and following decisions were made in presence of 15 TYKANs who were present including the Presidentry ( King Sriram Jagannathan ) .

TYKA's Next Move

Hi World !

TYKA , during the last meeting of its members on 20-03-11 ,has decided to do a Service to a needy Orphanage for children. TYKAns will help the orphanage monetarily as well as through other services like Teaching the Orphanage children regarding whats out there in the real world. TYKA has planned to do it twice a month.

TYKA AT BHARATHI MHSS

Tyka's first show of strength... a presentation on SAPAEC - (Tyka's initiative on Energy Conservation) was a grand success at Bharathi Matric. Hr. Sec. School- Tyka's home turf. It was a seminar to students from class XI and IX. A proffessional effort that impressed one and all. Hard work indeed pays off and we proved it yet again. A sincere thanks to all members who participated in it. More importantly a very big THANK YOU to the management of Bharathi. Photos will be updated soon on the blog.

The Article.

This is the article on the Coimbatore edition of the " INDIAN EXPRESS" dated 17-12-2010.
A wonderful feeling for all TYKANS. This is not an eye-opener for the public but also for the members to believe more in the group. We are going through a transition from "WE SHOULD DO THIS" to "WE HAVE DONE THIS".

Tykans should recognise and appreciate the sincere and consistent efforts of Kings Kumaraguru, Vinod andVignesh.( Sorry if any feels their name isn't mentioned). These 3 kings have been giving their heart and soul to the club and liteally praying for its success. Its time we, as fellow members complement thier work and go hand in hand. If the sincere efforts of just 3 of our members has taken us so far, we should realise the power of 35+ members.

So lets ARISE, AWAKE and STOP NOT TILL THE GOAL IS REACHED.

TYKA makes it to the NEWSPAPER

Hello TYKANS,

After a successful meeting with the honorable MAYOR of Coimbatore, TYKANS have now gone one step ahead. The English daily " INDIAN EXPRESS" has expressed its desire to post an article on TYKA in its paper on the edition dated - 17-12-2010. It is truly a great achievement and a boost to our high desires and motives.

We've now got a professional photograph of most TYKANS taken at PHOTO CENTRE studios on 14-12-2010.

We would like to thank KING VIGNESH N as he was instrumental in helping TYKA take this giant leap. Hope he keeps up the good work and we expect the same from other TYKANS too.
